Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) in Harrison, AR is seeking a Home Health RN to provide intermittent skilled nursing in patients’ homes. You will admit and manage a caseload, perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate care plans, administer IV therapies, and instruct patients and caregivers to build confidence at home.

Qualifications

  • Arkansas RN license (or compact) required.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing is required; BLS certification expected.
  • 1+ year hospital/SNF/related experience preferred; valid Arkansas driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • BSN is preferred for this home health role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multi-system assessment/reassessment and intervene per orders.
  • Educate patients and families; plan safe discharges/transfers; coordinate across teams.
  • Start/maintain IV therapy and medication administration per policy.
  • Provide sterile wound care and effective pain management; manage emergencies.
  • Supervise/delegate to LPNs and HHAs; document accurately; on-call rotation.

Job Summary

Provide intermittent skilled nursing in the home: comprehensive assessment, care planning/updates, education, IV/med administration per policy, wound care (sterile technique), and coordination with the care team; complete timely admissions, documentation, and on-call rotation as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform multi-system assessment/reassessment; identify changes and intervene per orders.
  • Educate patients/families; plan safe discharges/transfers; coordinate across disciplines and care conferences.
  • Start/maintain IV therapy (venipuncture, IVPB, IV push) and medications per policy; manage enteral feeding care.
  • Provide sterile wound care; effective pain management; respond appropriately in emergencies.
  • Supervise/delegate to LPNs and HHAs; complete accurate, timely documentation; participate in on-call rotation.
Job Qualifications
Required
  • Arkansas RN license (or compact).
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing; BLS.
  • 1+ year hospital/SNF/related experience; reliable transportation and valid Arkansas driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; strong assessment and communication skills.
Preferred
  • BSN; 2+ years related experience.
  • COS-C or home-health-specific certification.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Status: Full-time (PRN/part-time may be considered)
  • Schedule: Days with rotating on-call/weekend coverage
  • Pay: Competitive base pay with mileage per policy (details during interview)
