Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to care for a pediatric patient in the home setting in Homewtown, IL. Shifts are Sunday 1pm-7pm and Monday/Tuesday 3pm-9pm, offering a competitive hourly wage.

The role involves applying the nursing process to assess and manage patient care, administer medications, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation. A valid state license, CPR, and relevant pediatric/home health experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN or LPN license.
• Current CPR certification and TB or chest X-ray if required.
• Experience in home health nursing and pediatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing care/services on each assignment according to orders.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes.
• Document nurse assessments and coordinate care with physicians and supervisors.

Shifts:

Sunday 1pm-7pm & Monday/Tuesday 3pm-9pm

Salary:

$30- $40/ per hour

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention and progress toward established goals
• Intervenes as applicable to changes in condition and reports such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician
• Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as needed
• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal precautions

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN License or Active LPN License
• Current CPR
• PPD or chest X ray if applicable
