Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. The RN will use the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN), a state RN license (or eligible for compact), and active BLS with a plan to obtain additional certifications as needed (ACLS/NRP/PALS and more).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice (or eligible compact RN license).
• Ability to maintain all licensure requirements in accordance with state nursing board regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Additional certifications may be required upon hire or within a designated timeframe, including ACLS, NRP, PALS, PEARS, ENPC, TNCC, OCN, CPHON, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.
