Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the night shift. The RN will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold an active RN license in the state of practice. ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications and other relevant credentials are valued as part of professional readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in state of practice (or eligible compact RN license).
• Ability to maintain licensure requirements per state nursing board regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Move throughout the unit and respond quickly to patient and team needs.
