RN Health Care Facility Surveyor - Rhode Island (#1176)

CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT certification are required.

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking a RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for a position with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role involves supporting internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

• The position is 100% remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will participate as a team member or leader in various surveys (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits) for long-term care and other healthcare facilities such as ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospices.
• Conduct surveys to assess compliance with federal regulations, including preparation, on-site assessments, record reviews, and staff/family interviews.
• Evaluate healthcare quality, patient rights, and facility physical conditions.
• Communicate deficiencies and collaborate with facility personnel to develop acceptable correction plans.
• Perform follow-up surveys to monitor corrective actions.
• Assist in training facility staff and participate in work groups as needed.

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the SMQT.
• At least two years of recent surveyor experience in long-term care facilities.
• Current RN licensure.
• Strong decision-making and survey management skills.
• Ability to prioritize independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% regularly.
