St. Vincent's Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with our policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes coordination across disciplines, execution of physician orders, and discharge planning with the healthcare team. Qualified candidates have an accredited nursing education, an active Connecticut RN license, BLS certification, and strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel as appropriate.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
