St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Connecticut seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and protocols.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, CT RN license, and BLS certification; BSN preferred. The role includes day/night rotation with every other weekend and holiday, offering competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Acute care experience highly preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Must be able to commute to Bridgeport, CT.

Responsabilidades

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates knowledge to assess patients and identify diverse needs to provide individualized care.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel consistent with their education and expertise.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds and provides input to achieve outcomes for the patient population.
• Develops, implements and revises individualized plans of care.
• Participates in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care.
• Other Duties as assigned.
