Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W on a full-time schedule (36 hours/week) with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

You will use the nursing process to provide patient care, collaborate with departments, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and support care coordination on the 3W unit. Required: RN license in MO or compact, BLS, 2+ years of patient care experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
