Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

You will graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license in Missouri (or compact), with BLS certification within 30 days and at least two years of patient care experience; a BSN is preferred. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and supportive team members.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
