Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Brandon, FL. The RN will coordinate and deliver patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes and a compassionate experience.

You will educate patients and families, manage pain, and document care in the medical record while meeting state standards and hospital expectations. This role emphasizes safety, timely treatment, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license or compact licensure with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification due within 6 months of hire.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications due within 6 months of hire.
• CPI training due within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification due within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Provide care in collaboration with the care team and document in the electronic medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, and follow-up care.
• Provide guidance on self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
