Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department. You will collaborate with providers, document care, and advocate for patients and families in alignment with our mission and values.

The role requires Florida RN licensure or compact licensure, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS/ENPC may be required within designated timelines.
• NVCI, NIHSS, TNCC, and national board certifications are preferred or required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and care as ordered; document in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up.
