Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on delivering comprehensive patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring clear communication with patients and healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN in progress or be willing to pursue it within three years, at least one year of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, New Jersey license, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
• Active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments.
