Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in a collaborative care environment.

This full-time night-shift position requires at least 1 year of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, NJ RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and ongoing BSN progression within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Tele RN experience required.
• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required.
• Active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments.
