Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks an experienced RN to serve as a North Texas Float School Nurse, providing direct nursing coverage and supporting health services across campuses. You will manage clinical needs, triage student health concerns, and coordinate with district policies and health plans.

The role requires administering medications, maintaining documentation, and supporting emergency preparedness, immunization compliance, and staff training as part of a regional Health Services team.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Experience in school nursing or pediatrics preferred
Ability to manage medical emergencies and administer medications
Strong documentation, confidentiality, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide nursing coverage across North Texas campuses as needed
Assess, triage, and provide emergency care for students
Administer medications per orders and keep accurate records
Support IHPs, ECPs, and student health plans
Collaborate with Health Services leadership and campus staff
Assist with health services audits, training, and onboarding
