Job summary

The Nashua School District is hiring a School Float Nurse - RN to support students district-wide. Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, this contract position handles emergencies, health screenings, medication administration, and health records within schools and clinics across the district.

Qualifications include a current NH RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, CPR and First Aid, and at least three years of pediatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current NH Registered Nurse license, bachelor’s degree in nursing, CPR and First Aid certification. Must have three years of experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing areas.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience with student or patient database information systems as well as Microsoft Office systems.

Responsibilities

• Care for emergencies, renders first-aid and, if necessary, makes arrangements for further treatment. Inspect children for cleanliness and health concerns; provides follow-up where required. Notify parents and school office as needed. Check immunization records and ensure compliance. Coordinate medical screenings and referrals; maintain health records and logs.
