Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across departments.

You will collaborate with the care team, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and uphold standards of practice to ensure excellent outcomes.

This role requires RN licensure, ADN, and ACLS/BLS with timely onboarding and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the practicing state or compact state.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition at admission and during shifts and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses with accurate documentation.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively meet needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans.
