Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks a Float Pool RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models and our mission. You will advocate for patients and families, contributing to an outstanding experience and positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, education for patients and families, and alignment with organization values and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state.
• BLS certification required by AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS and PEARS/PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• Previous clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vitals.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition using electronic records.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care plan.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Float Pool RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess plans and evaluate the patients care needs and will carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS required
• Previous clinical experience require
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• PEARS or PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
