Job summary

Boone Health in Missouri is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and NICU units, including float coverage across inpatient areas. The role requires an RN license and at least two years of recent acute RN experience in the specialty.

Full-time, 36 hours/week, night shift options, sign-on bonus of $20,000, and self-scheduling with weekend coverage are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license issued by the state.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent acute RN experience within the last three (3) years in the specialty area.
• Nursing degree: Diploma or Associate's Degree; Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness management, home care needs, and medication administration.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units based on organizational needs, adapting to varied clinical environments while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements care plans with the healthcare team according to standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient responses and modifies plans as needed during the stay.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities.
• Engages in professional development and lifelong learning.
