Job summary

Boone Hospital Center in Missouri is seeking an experienced ICU/PCU RN to join a float pool, providing direct patient care across inpatient units. The role includes night shifts, self-scheduling, and a 36-hour work week with opportunities for professional development.

Eligible candidates will have at least two years of recent ICU RN experience, nursing licensure in good standing, and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 plus relocation assistance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness, home care, and medications.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units as needed, maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Develops and implements individualized care plans with the healthcare team.

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Job Responsibilities

• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units based on organizational needs, adapting to varied clinical environments while maintaining high-quality, patient‑centered care.
• Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient's response and modifies plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
• Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of recent acute RN experience within the last three (3) years in the specialty area
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• License: RN
