Job summary

Boone Hospital Center is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care across acute inpatient units. You will educate patients and families, adapt to varying clinical environments, and collaborate with the care team to plan and evaluate patient care.

The role requires an active RN license with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and experience in acute care. You may participate in self-scheduling and relocation/bonus programs as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two years of acute RN experience within the last three years.
• RN license required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Ability to float to multiple inpatient units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home-care needs.
• Floats to multiple inpatient units based on needs and adapts to different clinical environments.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate patients’ needs (physical, psychosocial, emotional).
• Develops and implements individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Evaluates patient responses and modifies care plans during the stay.
• Participates in safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities.
• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
