Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a nurse to join the Float Pool for Med-Surg, Telemetry and Intermediate Care units. This per diem role supports flexible assignments with potential for a variety of shifts, enabling experienced nurses to apply clinical knowledge across care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years combined experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry and Intermediate Care.
• 5 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Be assigned to more than one unit.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educate patients and families; identify issues and resources.
