Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool covering Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and IMCU units. The role involves training across departments, with 12-hour shifts, and a mix of day/evening/night schedules.

PRN with minimum 24 hours off per 6 weeks, weekends and holidays as needed. The nurse will implement and coordinate care using the nursing process, focusing on safe medication practices and effective communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Participation in educational programs to update and maintain current knowledge and clinical skills.
• Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe medication practice.
• Transcribes physician orders accurately.
• Assesses patient condition and plans care using the nursing process.
• Provides patient education and discharge planning.
• Acts as a resource and mentors other staff.
