Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in McKinney, Texas is seeking an RN Float to join our fast‑paced hospital nursing team. This full‑time position features 12‑hour day shifts from 7am to 7pm, serving a high‑volume patient population with diverse acuity.

The RN will assess patients, plan personalized care, coordinate with the care team, and ensure safe transitions while upholding professional standards and a compassionate approach to care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed registered nurse.
• Minimum 3 years RN Acute Care hospital experience.
• PCU experience preferred.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Focus on patient and family needs.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and health issues.
• Collaborate with the team to implement care plans and delegate tasks.
• Seek ongoing professional development and contribute to community service.
