Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse in Ohio to provide holistic patient care within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. You will collaborate with the care team to deliver nursing care using the Nursing Process and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, assisting with examinations, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Employment reflects a commitment to quality care and diverse, inclusive teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• 18 months of recent/relevant clinical experience in their specialty.
• Online competencies with 80% or greater to be eligible.
• ACLS required or PALS/NRP as applicable.
• ER/CC-ACLS/PALS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assist provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications under the direction of the provider.
• Assist in emergency situations.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and completely.
• Ensure care is provided and documented by all team members as appropriate.
