Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a part-time Staff Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a team-based environment. The nurse will assess, plan, administer medications, and assist in procedures under provider supervision within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include education of patients and families, accurate documentation, and coordination with other licensed and unlicensed staff. BLS/CPR is required, with ACLS/PALS/NRP as department needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a nursing program.
• Active RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Two years hospital-based experience.
• EMR charting experience preferred.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist in examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications under provider direction, per policies and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and procedures.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately per standards.
• Assume accountability for care provided and documented by the care team.
