Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking an experienced RN for the Float Pool to provide direct nursing care across multiple units. You will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate communication among disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care during night shifts.

The role requires an RN license, 1+ years of acute care experience (or licensed military RN), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• 1+ years of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.
