Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PRN Float Pool to provide patient care across multiple hospitals. The role suits independent nurses who thrive in varied environments and per diem schedules in the Cleveland area, including Independence, OH.

Requires two years' recent Emergency Department experience, Ohio RN license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required. A BSN is preferred and must be obtained within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through sound Nursing Practice procedures.
• Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
• Assess and document patient pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
• Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs with patient and family.
• Establish and implement a plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Monitor and document patient condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to achieve planned outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.

Experience:

• Minimum two years recent experience in the Emergency Department.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
