Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will interact with patients and families, educate them, and coordinate ongoing care within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN license, BLS, and ACLS within six months of hire.

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings.

• Perform telephone triage and call rotations as assigned.
• Administer treatments and medications and manage care plans with the team.
• Coordinate ongoing care and discharge planning in collaboration with patients and families.
• Direct and participate in the evaluation and supervision of nursing care standards.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care expectations.

About This Role

As an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families while providing healthcare education as needed.

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services.
• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings.
• Notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Direct, coordinate, and participate in the evaluation and supervision of nursing care.
• Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
• Educate patients and families.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within six months of hire
