Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a New Grad RN Resident for the Float Pool at the Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. You will provide direct nursing care to post-operative urology and overflow surgical patients and participate in a one-year Nurse Residency program.

The role supports residents with a structured core curriculum, supervision, and a dedicated success coach to help develop clinical skills and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• New grad or less than one year RN experience.
• Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional patient care from introduction to discharge.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, preference, and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

Education

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience

• New grad or less than one year of RN work experience
• Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
