Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PRN Float Pool to deliver critical care support across multiple hospitals in the Cleveland area. This self-scheduling, per diem role offers flexibility with variable shifts and independence in patient care.

Responsibilities include comprehensive admission assessments, pain evaluation, planning and documentation of care, and collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve expected outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; required within 3 years of hire date.
• Minimum two years recent experience in Critical Care.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through sound Nursing Practice procedures.
• Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
• Assess and document patient’s pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
• Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Establish and implement a plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Monitor and document patient’s condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
