Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Float Pool. This full-time, 0.90 FTE position supports a variety of clinical units, with telemetry monitoring required on all units and a day shift schedule including every third weekend.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree in Nursing and an active RN license (state or compact) with BLS. A 10k sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment or a multistate license via the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Staff adult acute care float across multiple units (Trauma Surgical, Medical Oncology, Orthopedics Neurology, Surgical Specialties, Medical Specialties, Emergency Observation).
• All units are telemetry capable and require telemetry monitoring skills.
• Self-scheduling in coordination with unit needs and organizational timelines.
• Orientation is provided in partnership with Nursing Education and Professional Development to grow clinical skills.
