Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Float Pool. The inpatient RN assesses patient health problems, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records across units.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS prior to orientation. ED/ICU experience preferred. Penn State Health offers comprehensive benefits and a tuition discount program for employees and eligible dependents.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a multistate license via the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.
• ACLS certification required prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and medical records; administer medications and monitor for reactions.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
