Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks a Float Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and provide care for patients. The RN will collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to support patients and families, including assessments, plan of care, medication administration, documentation, education, and equipment maintenance.

The role requires at least 1 year med/surg experience, TN nursing licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
• You will promote customer service initiatives.
• You are given the opportunity to utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
