Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking a Float Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse. You will coordinate care, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and perform assessments, medication administration, and patient education to support patients and families.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year med/surg experience, active Tennessee nursing licensure, and current BLS certification. Med-Surg certification within 1 year is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for patients in float Medical-Surgical/Acute Care settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support physical and psychosocial needs.
• Perform assessments, develop plans of care, administer medications, and document care.
• Utilize nursing process to maximize patient satisfaction and safety across age groups.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be performing patient roundingin an effort tomaximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.

• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• You are given the opportunity toutilizenursingprocess for individual care to meetneedsof patients.

• In thisroleyou willdemonstrateyour ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:
