Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee seeks a Float Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care and support a multidisciplinary team. You will assess patients, administer medications, and develop individualized care plans to meet patient needs.

The role requires 1 year of med/surg experience, TN nursing licensure, and current BLS certification, with Med-Surg certification pursued within 12 months. Join us to advance patient outcomes in a leading stroke center.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for patients in med/surg and acute care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, document care.
• Educate patients and families and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Participate in rounds to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be performing patient roundingin an effort tomaximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.

• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• You are given the opportunity toutilizenursingprocess for individual care to meetneedsof patients.

• In thisroleyou willdemonstrateyour ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing

• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing

• Current BLS certification

• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire
