Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to apply established standards of care and coordinate patient-focused nursing services on each shift. You will assess patients, plan and delegate care, and evaluate outcomes to ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Alabama licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS within six months. Excellent communication and independence in clinical practice are essential to success in this well-supported hospital

Overview

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure

License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation peri d. ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.

Experience: required

Additional Skill/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Must have knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
