Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to maintain established standards of care and participate in policy-driven nursing practice. The RN assesses patient needs, plans and delegates care, and evaluates outcomes, remaining accountable for care delivered during the shift.

The role requires Alabama licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a commitment to professional development within a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period.
• ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
• Must have excellent communication skills in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of equipment and materials required for Nursing Service procedures.
• Department competencies must be completed within the provisional period.

Job description

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure

License, Certification and/or Registration:

BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
