Huntsville Hospital seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care, assess needs, plan and delegate nursing interventions, and evaluate patient responses for timely and effective outcomes.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care, with accountability for care delivered during your shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing with Alabama licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required in orientation.
• ACLS must be obtained within six months of employment and maintained.

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure
• License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
• Experience: required
• Additional Skill/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Must have knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
