Salem Regional Medical Center is seeking a Full Time RN Float to support the Nursing Pool. The position floats across ED, Med Surg, and ICU, with a 12-hour night shift (7pm-7am) and a 0.9 FTE schedule, totaling 36 hours per week.
The RN will coordinate and direct patient care using the nursing process, assessing diverse age groups from newborns to seniors, and collaborating with the care team to adapt plans as needed.

The RN is responsible for coordinating and directing the delivery of competent patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. In caring for a patient population which may include the newborn, toddler, adolescent, adult, and the elderly, the RN identifies the special needs of the patient’s age group, respective level of growth and development, and plans the care accordingly. The RN directs the implementation of the Plan of Care through performance and/or coordination of the activities of other members of the health care team. Departmental Policies and Procedures are used as the basis to prescribe nursing intervention. The RN is responsible for the evaluation of nursing care given to all patients. The RN revises the plan of care according to the needs of the patient and appropriately implements changes as necessary
