A Brief Overview
Provides safe, efficient, age‑specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients; annual training and UH policies address appropriate use of PHI.
Education
- Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing
- (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- (MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, electronic monitoring devices). (Required proficiency)
- 1 year of RN experience required. Med Surg experience preferred. This is a day shift position.
- 8K - Sign on Bonus for external candidates with 1 year of RN experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license, Ohio and/or Multi‑State Compact License (Required Upon Hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) or obtained during nursing orientation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on unit clinical care standards.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on unit clinical care standards.
