Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Shreveport in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and supervise patient care using the nursing process on the medical-surgical unit.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state or compact, BLS, and is ACLS-certified or will obtain ACLS within 90 days; Charge Nurses require ACLS. One year of med-surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within 90 days; ACLS must be AHA approved within 90 days.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care using the nursing process on the unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Charge Nurse duties may be performed; ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
