Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our collaborative surgical team. You will work side-by-side with surgeons to deliver perioperative care before, during, and after surgery.

This full-time, day-shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a supportive, mission-driven work environment where patient safety and teamwork are paramount.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in MO.
• Minimum perioperative nursing experience.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant training within 1 year.
• BLS/ACLS within first year.
• Continued competence in perioperative nursing.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
Experience: Must have a minimum of perioperative nursing experience.
Certifications: CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer. BLS/ACLS required within first year.
Other: Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Preferred: CNOR Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
