The RNFA role requires an active RN license, completion of an accredited RNFA program, and at least 2 years of OR experience with scrub/circulating duties, with CRNFA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• Completion of accredited RNFA program (didactic & clinical)
• Minimum 2 years OR experience with surgical scrub and/or circulating duties
• CRNFA certification preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the OR with exposure, hemostasis and other tasks per surgeon directives
• Conduct preoperative assessments to determine the care plan
• Ensure proper sterilization and preparation of instruments/equipment
• Provide postoperative care, assess for complications and manage pain
• Collaborate with surgical team, anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals
