Job summary

Incredible Health in Templeton, CA is hiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support surgical teams in the operating room. This role requires an active RN license, completion of an accredited RNFA program, and at least two years of OR experience including scrub or circulating duties.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Completion of an accredited RNFA program with didactic and clinical components.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience with scrub and/or circulating duties.
• Certification as a RN First Assistant (CRNFA) from a recognized body preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the operating room with exposure, hemostasis and other technical functions per the surgeon's directives.
• Perform preoperative assessments including history review to determine the care plan.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and prepared before surgery.
• Provide postoperative care by assessing for complications, applying dressings, and pain management.
• Collaborate with surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the surgical process.
