Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) to join the Main Operating Room on a PRN basis.

The role provides perioperative nursing care and collaborates with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced surgical environment. Ideal candidates will have 1 year of perioperative nursing experience, active RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certification, with CNOR or RN-First Assistant training preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.
• Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Join the Main Operating Room team at Mercy St. Louis Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center.
• Work alongside surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Assist as RN First Assistant and provide perioperative nursing care as needed.
