Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) for the Main Operating Room. Join a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center team delivering advanced surgical care to patients of all ages in a full-time day role.

Education includes a nursing degree with active RN licensure in the state of practice and a minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience. BLS/ACLS are required within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS certification within first year.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in the operating room.
• Maintains accountability for patient care and coordinates care with other departments.
• Assists the surgical team as an RN First Assistant in the Main Operating Room.
• Demonstrates continued competence in perioperative nursing and patient safety.
