Job summary

Mercy St Louis Hospital is seeking an RN First Assist for the Main Operating Room on a PRN basis. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of perioperative nursing experience and active RN licensure in the state of practice. BLS/ACLS must be obtained within the first year, with CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification classes preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• Other: CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in the operating room setting.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments and perioperative team.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality while supporting Mercy Service Standards.
