Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to support perioperative services. The role focuses on delivering safe, effective, patient-family centered care in the OR and across the perioperative continuum.

You will function as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and may perform as an RN circulator when needed. Required qualifications include a graduate nursing program, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if working in the CVOR.
• RN license in Georgia (or NLC/eNCL Multistate).
• CNOR certification.
• CRNFA certification.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Act as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and perioperative continuum.
• May serve as RN circulator as needed.
