Sanford Health, the nation’s leading rural health system, seeks an RN First Assist to support surgeons in the operating room. You will help with intraoperative tasks, exposure, hemostasis, and closure, while coordinating preoperative plans with the surgical team and health professionals.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state. CNOR certification is required/maintained.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license in the state where practice occurs.
• CNOR certification required or maintained for employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists operating surgeons with intra-operative procedures and handling of tools.
• Preoperative planning in coordination with surgeons and health team.
• Performs duties under Nurse Practice Act and facility policies to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
