Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care across the OR and related areas. The role requires CNOR and BLS certification, with AORN-RN FA training and relevant experience in perioperative nursing.

The incumbent will function as RN first assistant and may act as RN circulator, supporting a patient-family centered approach and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal outcomes. A sign-on bonus is available.

Competenze

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical components).
• Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience; three years in CVOR if CVOR may apply.
• CNOR certification and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification. At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate from a school of nursing. Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Two years perioperative RN or RNFA experience. If working in the CVOR, minimum experience of three years as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RN First Assistant certification (CRNFA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population
